Sportswear Quality Control Checklist Before Shipment

A clear QC checklist reduces disputes and protects both buyer and supplier. The goal is to find problems before cartons leave the factory, not after the goods reach the warehouse.

Sportswear Quality Control Checklist Before Shipment

1. Measurement and size tolerance

Check key points such as chest, length, sleeve, waist, and inseam against the approved size chart. Define acceptable tolerance before production starts.

2. Stitching and workmanship

Inspect skipped stitches, loose threads, seam strength, collar shape, hems, zipper function, and label position. Teamwear needs extra attention around high-stress areas.

3. Printing and color consistency

Compare print placement, sponsor logos, names, numbers, and color tone against approved artwork or samples. Small alignment issues can become visible at team scale.

4. Packing and carton control

Verify polybags, size stickers, barcodes, carton marks, quantity per carton, and mixed-size packing instructions before shipment.

FAQ

Should buyers request third-party inspection?

For large or high-risk orders, third-party inspection can help. For smaller repeat orders, supplier QC photos may be enough if standards are clear.

When should QC standards be confirmed?

Before production starts, ideally together with the approved sample, size chart, artwork, and packing list.
